According to the updated regulations by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) in 2024, mobile phones imported from abroad can initially be used in Turkey without registration for 120 days. The period can be extended twice, for 30 days each time, upon application, which allows for the phone to be used for up to 180 days in total. If the device is not registered with the associated passport within this 180-day period, it will be shut down for communication services.<\/p>\n
